Strike Zones, the one we are thinking about
Open to everyone right now. It is the most expensive layer we run, so it is the one feature we may price later. We have not decided, and we would rather you use it and tell us whether it is worth paying for.

A lot of what Cobia reads is public data
Tide predictions come from NOAA. Weather comes from public forecast models. Bathymetry comes from federal surveys. Those are open datasets, and Cobia reads them for you rather than making you open four apps to find them.
What Cobia adds is the synthesis, and it gets better the more anglers use it. That is the part worth building, and it is why the app is open rather than gated.

Nothing today. Every feature in the app is free right now, Strike Zones included. Strike Zones is the one layer we are considering pricing later, because it is the most expensive thing we run. No decision has been made, and we will say so plainly here if it changes.
No. There is no countdown, no locked feature that used to be open, and no nag screen on the parts of the app you use daily. Nothing in the app is time limited.
Not in the feed. Brands can have profiles and post like any other account, and local tackle shops are pinned on the map, but the feed is not an advertising surface and lure recommendations are not for sale.
Honestly, not yet. We are early and we are funding it ourselves while we learn what anglers actually use. Strike Zones is the most likely candidate to carry its own weight one day, which is exactly why it is open right now and why we want to hear what you think of it. The parts of the app that tell you where to go and when will not depend on charging you for them.
