It might already be you. Cobia keeps score at 277,262 mapped water bodies, on every one of the 599 species it tracks, and across every angler in the app. All of it runs on verified catches, which is the only reason any of it is worth winning.

The most verified catches at a water holds it
Not the biggest fish, not the loudest post. The most Authentic catches logged at that specific water. It is the one leaderboard that rewards showing up to the same place over and over, which is what actually makes somebody a local.
- Every named water is in play, all 277,262 of them, not a curated list of famous spots

Different anglers care about different scoreboards
So there are four, and they measure genuinely different things. None of them are the same board with a filter on it.
The water you fish
Crowns. Most verified catches at one water body. Rewards depth over range, and the person who fishes one creek every weekend beats the person who fishes forty once.
The fish you chase
A top ten for each of the 599 species, app wide. If you are the snook person, this is the board that says so, and it does not care how many points you have.
The whole app
Strike Points, ranked this week, this month, and all time. Weekly and monthly reset, so a good stretch counts even if you joined in August. The lifetime board never resets.
The challenge you took
Slams, in four formats. Most catches of one species, a list of seven with one of each, several of one fish against the clock, or a bag with a count per species. Every Slam runs its own board for the anglers inside it.
Every named water runs its own scoreboard
Open Jupiter Inlet and it tells you who holds it, what has come out of it, and where you sit against everybody else fishing the same water. Then it shows you the tide phase and the hours that have actually produced there.
Build one on the water you know best
Slam creation is open. Pick the water, pick the species list, draw the fence, set the period. The app validates the location and shows you the card before it goes live, then you send an invite link to whoever you want in it. Every Slam in Cobia was made by an angler this way.

A leaderboard is only worth climbing if it has a floor
Any app can let you type in a fish. The moment that ranks, the board belongs to whoever is most willing to lie, and everybody else stops caring.
So only Authentic catches rank. Those are the ones shot through the Cobia Camera, where the photo, the place, the time and the conditions are bound together at the moment of capture rather than typed in afterwards. Import a photo from your camera roll and it still counts as a catch, still fills your Fishdex, still sits in your log. It just does not climb anything.
That is the entire reason a crown is worth defending.

Log more verified catches at a water body than anyone else. That is the whole rule. The crown shows on the water body page with your name and your angler title on it, and you keep it until somebody out-fishes you there.
Yes, and you get told when it happens. Somebody who fishes your water harder will take it. Holding one through a season means something precisely because it can be taken.
No. Only Authentic catches, shot through the Cobia Camera with the place, time and conditions bound in at capture, rank on crowns, Slams, species boards and Strike Points. Imported photos still live in your Fishdex and your log, they just do not climb anything.
Yes. Pick the water, pick the species list, set the fence and the period, and publish. Share the invite link with whoever you want in it. Every Slam in the app was built by somebody this way.
